IL&FS Urban Infrastructure is the development manager for the Project and is responsible for project development, construction, marketing and operations of the Stadium for the concession period of 15 years
In addition to the international standard Stadium, the facility encompasses Club House, Indoor Sports Facilities, Convention Centre, Guest Rooms, Swimming Pool and Retail. This multi-functional stadium will be capable of international cricket and football events as well as cultural and entertainment events
The Project was conceptualized by the Government of Kerala (GoK). The main stadium facility was inaugurated in December 2014 and was the proud host of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 35th National Games held in early 2015
